28 April 2020, Notice No .8 of 2020 of the National Standardization Administration Council has published the GB/T 38775.1《 of the Wireless Charging System for Electric Vehicles Part 1: General Requirements, GB/T 38775.2《 of the Wireless Charging System for Electric Vehicles Part 2: Communication Protocol between Car Chargers and Charging Equipment, GB/T 38775.3《 of the Wireless Charging System for Electric Vehicles Part 3: Special Requirements, GB/T 38775.4《 of the Wireless Charging System for Electric Vehicles Part 4: electromagnetic Environmental Limits and Test Methods, a total of four national standards, Neweyea Technology, as the drafting unit involved in the development of GB/T 38775.1《 electric vehicle wireless charging system part 1: general requirements, GB/T 38775.3《 electric vehicle wireless charging system part 3: special requirements, two national standards.

According to the announcement, four national standards will be formally implemented on November 1,2020.

The wireless charging system of electric vehicle is formulated under the background that the industrialization process of new energy vehicle is accelerating and the demand for charging infrastructure of new energy vehicle is becoming more and more urgent. Wireless charging technology is a kind of technology which uses the principle of near-field magnetic coupling to charge electric vehicles by means of space-separation transmission. It is one of the important supporting technologies of electric vehicles in the past five years.

wireless charging system is to realize the transmission of electric energy from power supply / power grid side to electric equipment through non-physical contact. the wireless charging system of electric vehicle is embodied in the transmission of electric energy from ground end to vehicle end. therefore, there are invisible "interfaces" such as electrical, communication, magnetic circuit and so on in the power supply side and the power supply side. it is necessary to standardize the relevant technical specifications through the standard. To this end, China Electric Power Enterprise Federation and China Automotive Technology Research Center jointly organized the development of "Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging" standard system.

This standard system planning standard 18, standard electric vehicle wireless charging system in the public and private applications of technical requirements, performance requirements, functional requirements, security requirements, communication protocols, test requirements and test methods, interoperability requirements and test methods, construction acceptance, operation and maintenance, etc. Four national standards were issued and four national standards were in the process of being prepared.

The four national standards, such as the general requirements, the communication protocol between the on-board charger and the charging equipment and the special requirements, are the important basic general standards in the wireless charging standard system of electric vehicles. The general requirements and special requirements specify the power transmission and system function related requirements to be in the product design and product testing of electric vehicle wireless charging system, give clear performance index, safety index, baseline requirements of function index, clear test method of relevant requirements, and form guidance and normative action for product design and testing. the electromagnetic environment limit value and test method give the electromagnetic environment exposure limit value, provide the electromagnetic environment test and evaluation method of components and loading wireless charging system.

This release of "Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging System" series of national standards, fill the gap in China in the field of electric vehicle wireless charging technology national standards and norms, improve the electric vehicle wireless charging standard system, the system performance, safety and function put forward clear requirements and testing methods, can support private applications of wireless charging system product development, testing and application. The release of this series of standards is a milestone to promote the development of wireless charging industrialization of electric vehicles in China, enrich the charging technology system and application scene of electric vehicles in China, and really play the leading role of standard technology.

According to the content of "China Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Technology Development White Paper II: Wireless Charging ", which was formulated by the Technical Committee for Standardization of Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities in the Energy Industry, this release GB/T 38775.1《 four national standards, such as the first part: General Requirements, etc.

There is no direct physical interface between the ground side equipment and the vehicle side equipment in the wireless charging system of electric vehicle, and the electric steam has a variety of charging power grades and clearance from the ground. In order to realize the safety and high performance slave point of the ground side and vehicle side equipment of different equipment manufacturers, a stable standard technical scheme is needed as the support. Therefore, domestic and foreign standard organizations as early as 2015 around the above objectives to carry out standardized technical research.

Several major international standardization organizations ISO、IEC、ITU as well as SAE have established relevant standards, in 2019 has basically formed a standard freeze text, set the standard technical route.

China started the standard technology research and standard compilation in 2015. At present ,8 national standards have been established, of which 4 basic technical requirements have been announced on April 20. Four other standards are being developed, of which two key interoperability standards are expected to form a solidification document by 2020, which will then form a standardized technology scheme for wireless charging of electric vehicles in China.

Car Enterprise Planning

With the continuous development of electric vehicle intelligent network connection and the approaching of commercial application time point, the demand for automatic charging technology is becoming more and more urgent. Porsche, Daimler, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Hyundai have all invested in relevant research and formed a clear plan. It is expected that during 2021~2023, the above car companies will gradually release and put into the market models equipped with wireless charging functions. Domestic FAW, Geely, Changan, Dongfeng, BAIC, Guangzhou Auto, BYD and other mainstream car companies have gradually carried out wireless charging technology research.

There are more than 30 suppliers of wireless charging equipment for electric vehicles at home and abroad, including Xiamen Neweyea, ZTE New Energy ,Huawei Technology, Wan'an, Anjie, Witricity and other wireless charging enterprises.
